Booked Vs Stayed Report

The Booked Vs Stayed report shows actual room nights, and similar to other reports in HotelIQ, all revenue and ADR figures are net (excluding taxes).

Stayed room types and classes are ordered left to right in ascending order of their Stayed ADR for the period. A reservation booking into a “lower” room type or class and staying in a “higher” room type or class will be reflected as an Upgrade/Upsell (orange coloured), with the reverse scenario reflecting in a Downgrade (grey coloured).

The 'Booked' room is based on the original room type booked, and the 'Stayed' room is based on the room type the guest eventually stayed in after check-in. Any room type changes made in between the period when the original booking was made, till the guest checks in, is not reflected on our report.

Example:

A guest books a Deluxe Room at 12pm, and the booking was later amended to a Palace Suite at 3pm. As HotelIQ only receives data from the hotel’s PMS once a day at the end of the day (after night audit runs), HotelIQ takes the most recent standing of the reservation. In this case, HotelIQ would report Palace Suite as the booked room type.

“Room Type” Field vs “Room Type to Charge” Field

For Opera V5/hosted hotels integrated via the HotelIQ Scripts or OXI: The booked and stayed room type data is based off the “Room Type” field from the PMS, not the “Room Type To Charge” (RTC) field.

For Opera Cloud hotels integrated via OHIP: The “Booked Room Type” is taken from the “Room Type to Charge” (RTC) field by default. Please contact us if you would like to disable this feature.

The Stayed data in this report is only available from the date HotelIQ was connected to the hotel’s PMS
