Historical Booking Curve Report

If you are comparing the Historical Booking Curve report against other Analysis reports (e.g. Business Mix) in HotelIQ, you may find that the data in both reports may not match up exactly. This is because the Historical Booking Curve report does not account for no-show bookings, and any modifications/adjustments or last minute cancellations made to a reservation on or after Day 0 (guest check in date). Below are some example scenarios:

Example 1: Guest cancels the reservation on the day of check in. The report will still reflect the room and associated revenues for this booking.

Example 2: Front Desk upsells a guest’s booking to a higher grade room. The upsell room revenue will not be reflected on the report.

Example 3: Revenue adjustments are made to a guest’s booking after the guest has checked in. These adjustments will not be reflected on the report.

The Historical Booking Curve report was designed this way to show booking trends for planning or marketing purposes. For further questions relating to this report, please create a ticket via the Service Desk or email us at support@intelligent-hospitality.com.
