The data in HotelIQ does not match my PMS data
HotelIQ is an analytics tool designed for strategic business decision making and we aim to provide users accurate data from the source.
Due to the large amount of data HotelIQ receives from the hotel’s PMS on a daily basis, it is not uncommon to find minor discrepancies from time to time. As the data in HotelIQ is always as of the close of business the day before, it is also best to compare HotelIQ’s data in the early mornings.
Data discrepancies could be caused by several reasons such as:
-
Difference in report run times
-
Adjustments or posting master entries which are not made to the guest folio, but are included in the PMS report
-
Settings or filters applied in the PMS report which are excluded in HotelIQ
-
Any other hotel operational abnormalities
If you notice significant data discrepancies, kindly create a ticket via the Service Desk or email support@intelligent-hospitality.com. Please include any reports, analysis and/or screenshots if possible.
For hotels using Opera, please send us a copy of your History & Forecast report in your PMS base currency with the following settings:
-Non-deduct inventory is not included
-Distributed revenue option is "Y"
Notes:
HotelIQ Scripts (on-premise Opera instances only)
For hotels connected via HotelIQ Scripts, we receive the data files from your PMS once daily, after the night audit process completes.
Opera OXI or Hapi Connector
For hotels on OXI API or Hapi Connector, we receive messages from your PMS via the integration methods throughout the day, however the data only gets loaded into HotelIQ once daily at a specific time. The data load time for each hotel varies, and this may cause some minor data discrepancies between the PMS and HotelIQ.
Example:
If the data gets loaded into HotelIQ at 7AM each day, all reservations booked before 7AM will be considered as pick up for the previous day, and all reservations picked up after 7AM until the cut off time again the next morning will be considered as pick up for the current day.
